About Us
Our Mission
Although we are based out of a small surf shop in Santa Barbara, our team of seven travels the world in order to keep our followers up to date on the most recent environmental trends in the world of surfing. While we all come from different backgrounds with different fields of study (Journalism, Environmental Science, Business, and Communications to name a few), we all have one thing in common: a love for surfing.
Our goal is to not only spread factual information about what’s going on in the surf industry, but to also let people know what decisions they can make to keep surfing sustainable and what new products are being invented that make sustainability more achievable.
On our site you will find blog posts created by our team with occasional posts from activists we sponsor. In our local shop we sell only the highest quality surf wear that matches our views on sustainability. Our wetsuits are made with renewable plant-based rubber derived from hevea trees that exclude the commonly used toxin neoprene. Our boards are made using Envirofoam (100% recycled EPS) and super-sap resin (an epoxy resin based from various plants).
